A reinforced concrete escalator pit construction. The pit slab and walls are heavily reinforced with number 7 bars at 12 inches on center top and bottom in each way typically within the side pit. The vertical wall reinforcement consists of number 4 bars at 12 inches on center typically, complemented by number 4 horizontal bars at 8 inches on center. All reinforcing bars at corners are hooked with 12 inch standard hooks typically. Critical dimensions such as the 10 inch thickness and various clearances are marked to be verified in the field.
