A cold-formed steel stud back-up assembly utilizes 6-inch by 54-mil studs spaced at 16 inches on center. A minimum stud size of TD 600T200-54 is specified, with back-up bridging plates installed between studs or as noted. The connection is secured via welded web-to-flange attachments, shown with 1/8-inch welds at 1-inch spacing.
