Existing pavers are reinstalled on a one and a half inch sand leveling course. The sand course is supported by a four inch Class II aggregate base. Below the aggregate base, six inches of subgrade are scarified and compacted to ninety five percent relative compaction, with the contractor directed to prepare soils as necessary to provide a stable subgrade.
