This assembly consists of a vertical light gauge metal framing wall transitioning to a horizontal soffit. The soffit is constructed with five-eighths inch gypsum board over light gauge metal framing. The vertical drop is dimensioned at four and seven-eighths inches, with an eight-inch horizontal offset from the main wall plane. Elevations for the bottom of the ceiling and the bottom of the soffit are referenced to the reflected ceiling plan.
