A concrete walk is thickened to nine inches at the drain pipe penetration and reinforced with six by six inch ten-by-ten welded wire mesh centered between the top of the walk and the top of the pipe, extending two feet beyond the pipe on each side. One-eighth-inch asphalt impregnated sheathing is cut to fit and surround the pipe, typical at all pipe-curb penetrations, with a slope of one-eighth inch per foot minimum. A one-quarter-inch galvanized steel angle extends a minimum of four inches each way of the manifold, accompanied by four-foot-long rebar at the pipe-curb penetration. The ground is bermed up to provide two inches minimum ground cover at the drain pipe, sitting a minimum of three inches clear above the pipe.
