A structural panel shear splice connection between two precast concrete wall panels at the twenty-foot above finished floor level features a one-half-inch embed plate with eight three-quarter-inch diameter by five-inch stud anchors at the far side on the left panel, welded with a five-sixteenth-inch fillet weld on three sides of one panel only. The right panel utilizes a one-half-inch connection plate secured with four one-inch diameter A325-N bolts through two-inch slotted holes in the center bolts, with nuts finger-tightened and threads marred without torquing. Spacer plates are provided as required at all panel thickness transitions. A number five hairpin with forty-eight-inch tails is installed tight to the stud anchors across the vertical panel joint.
