Gypsum board framing attaches to a continuous metal angle anchored directly to the underside of the structural concrete slab using concrete anchors. Scheduled metal framing studs run vertically and horizontally to form the furr-down shape, tied together with corner beads and J-beads at the gypsum board edges. Sealant is applied at the slab-to-gypsum junction with specified joint clearances. Additional bracing is provided as required by structural layout, and provisions are included for light fixtures indicated on the reflected ceiling plan.
