A reinforced concrete footing embeds a six inch steel channel centered beneath an asphalt or concrete paving transition, flanked by asphalt concrete or concrete surfaces as occurs. The channel is anchored by a one and one half by one and one half inch angle with Nelson anchor bolts at twenty four inches on center and six inches from ends. Reinforcement consists of number four bars at twenty four inches on center transversely, supplemented by number four continuous bars on each side and number four bars fifteen inches long at twenty four inches on center longitudinally. Concrete paving is provided per civil drawings.
