A roof expansion joint assembly crosses wood deck and joists supported by structural steel framing. A TPO membrane with bonding adhesive runs across a one-quarter inch Dens-Deck board, secured with heavy-duty fasteners and seam plates per the manufacturer. A compressible insulated tube with a diameter exceeding the deck opening by fifty percent minimum or designed movement fills the joint space. Additional compressible insulation with a retainer and fastener is installed within the opening. Lap sealant is applied typically at membrane laps.
