A steel pipe support penetrates an insulated steel roof deck and rests on a steel angle welded to the structural steel or top chord of joists. The pipe is wrapped in single-ply flashing membrane extending at least eight inches vertically above the new roof, secured at the top with an approved sealant and a twenty-four gauge stainless steel clamp. Seam plates and four fasteners per pipe anchor the base of the flashing membrane, which is hot-air welded at seams. Any gaps of one-sixteenth of an inch or greater are filled with expansive foam sealant.
