An upper cabinet is secured to the wall through a continuous 1x3 wood cleat fastened with two number 10 flathead sheet metal screws spaced at 1 foot 4 inches on center. The cabinet back is anchored to a continuous backing plate concealed within the wall framing. A number 12 flathead wood screw with a countersunk finishing grommet fastens the cabinet at a maximum of 1 foot 0 inches on center, equally spaced along the bottom of the upper cabinet. The top of the assembly requires scribing to the wall where visible.
