A hollow structural section steel tube connects to a concrete wall via a welded end plate and embedded anchor studs. A one-quarter-inch fillet weld is specified on three sides to secure the steel member to the plate. In the alternate configuration, an embedded bent anchor rod secures the assembly through a clip angle connection. Section cuts and detail references coordinate the intersection between the structural steel framing and the concrete element.
