Mechanical equipment mounts to a prefabricated or solid pressure-treated wood curb resting on solid pressure-treated wood blocking and the roof assembly. Rigid insulation lines the prefabricated curb, while roofing extends up and over the curb assembly. Sealing material and prefinished metal flashing and counterflashing on high-temperature self-adhering membrane protect the exterior junction. Mineral fiber and smoke seal act as an air barrier beneath the mechanical equipment.
