This assembly consists of a 6-inch wide steel channel embedded within a concrete curb, which is set into concrete or asphalt paving as occurs. The curb is reinforced with number 4 bars spaced at 24 inches on center, along with continuous number 4 bars on each side and 15-inch long number 4 bars spaced at 24 inches on center. A 1 1/2-inch by 1 1/2-inch angle is anchored into the concrete using Nelson anchor bolts spaced at 24 inches on center, positioned 6 inches from the ends. The concrete curb has a minimum depth of 8 inches and is surrounded by concrete paving as specified by civil engineering requirements.
