An aluminum door frame integrates with an insulated glass door unit adjacent to a cast-in-place or tilt-up concrete wall. The interior side receives a light-gauge framed wall finished with gypsum board and continuous insulation sized per ComCheck. Continuous sealant beads seal the joint between the aluminum frame and the concrete opening, supplemented by caulk and paint at the interior transition. Flashing and caulking are provided at the interior side of the insulated glass door assembly.
