Head condition of a butt glazed window system integrated into a scheduled metal stud partition wall. A metal stud box header extends to the structure above, enclosed by five-eighths inch gypsum board and three-quarter inch plywood sheathing with sound batt insulation within the cavity. Wood blocking is provided above the glazing head to support the aluminum channel. The butt glazed window system is wet-set in a one-inch by one-inch by one-eighth-inch aluminum channel secured at the head. Continuous joint sealant is applied at the glazing interface, and metal J-trim and metal gypsum corner beads finish the surrounding drywall edges.
