An operable partition jamb connects to a framed wall assembly with fasteners attached per manufacturer recommendations. The partition unit meets a jamb channel with a specified travel range from zero to five and three-quarters inches. Fasteners secure the jamb channel directly into the stud framing of the adjacent wall. Acoustic seals interface between the sliding partition panels and the fixed jamb framing.
