The suspended gypsum board ceiling terminates at a vertical gypsum board wall with a maximum 6-inch clearance and a 1/8-inch joint. The ceiling framing consists of 7/8-inch furring channels spaced at a maximum of 16 inches on center, attached to 1-1/2-inch cold-rolled channels spaced at 4 feet on center. Eight-gauge hanger wires support the cold-rolled channels at 4 feet on center maximum, while eight-gauge diagonal bracing wires are installed in a 12-foot by 12-foot maximum grid pattern at 45 degrees. One-inch by one-inch clips secure the framing components at 24 inches on center. The ceiling height varies and is coordinated with the reflected ceiling plan.
