A cased opening door jamb occurs at a framed partition wall. Double metal studs reinforce the opening, with partition types referenced on the floor plans. A continuous bead of sealant is applied to each side of the frame. The door jamb features no stop at the cased opening, with a typical distance to the wall maintained at the hinge side only unless noted otherwise.
