A 1-1/2-inch diameter pipe rail connects to a 3/4-inch diameter bracket, which is welded to a guardrail vertical bar. The bracket is secured with 3/16-inch fillet welds. A minimum 1-1/2-inch clearance is maintained between the pipe rail and the vertical bar. The top of the rail is positioned between 34 inches minimum and 38 inches maximum above the stair nosing.
