Wall framing as scheduled supports cement backer board, which receives a waterproof membrane and wall tile applied with a mortar bond coat. A four-inch cove base of sheet flooring turns up the wall from the horizontal floor surface and meets the tile assembly. Metal trim finishes the transition, with all exposed ends left smooth and rounded.
