A two-by-eight number two Southern Pine pressure-treated wall buck attaches to a steel stud or blocked stud wall by others. A three-eighths-inch zinc-plated threaded rod passes through the wall buck and the stud assembly, secured on the exterior with a zinc-plated flat washer and a three-eighths-inch zinc-plated hex nut. The rod is double-nutted to the steel stud or blocking using two three-eighths-inch zinc-plated hex nuts and two three-eighths-inch zinc split lockwashers.
