A thermally broken aluminum storefront system bears directly on a concrete slab-on-grade with a finished floor surface applied per plans. An under-slab vapor barrier is installed beneath the concrete slab over a prepared sub-base, and continuous below-grade waterproofing is provided along the vertical face with a control joint. The slab transitions elevation at a control joint, adjacent to an interior footing extending down to elevation 99'-2".
