A wide flange beam is coped at the top flange to clear the intersecting support, framing into a supporting wide flange beam sized per plan at W12 or deeper. Connection is made using a shear tab sized per schedule with a minimum of two bolts. Dimensions indicate a half-inch cope clearance and specific edge distances including one-and-a-half-inch spacings and a maximum five-inch dimension.
