The roof drain assembly integrates into a timber roof sheathing substrate supported by structural framing. Tapered rigid insulation creates a sump around the drain bowl with a slope of less than three inches to one horizontal foot. A reinforced waterproofing membrane ties directly into the roof drain flange, sealed with continuous sealant at the perimeter. The roof drain is installed strictly according to the manufacturer specifications.
