An exterior door sill detail showing the door assembly bearing on a concrete slab on grade with an aluminum threshold and automatic door shoe as specified. The void beneath the threshold is filled solid with non-shrink grout. A continuous one-half-inch preformed expansion joint with sealant is provided in the slab adjacent to the exterior side of the threshold. Interior floor finishes vary per finish plans, and the slab on grade is constructed per structural slab plans.
