This concrete trench drain detail features an 8-inch Ironsmith trench drain grate made of cast iron with one-half-inch slot openings, model ADA 9031-8. The reinforced concrete trench body includes continuous number 4 rebar and number 4 rebar spaced at eighteen inches on center. A discharge pipe exits the trench assembly for drainage. The trench drain depth varies per plan with a minimum depth from rim to invert of three inches, and the invert longitudinal slope is zero point five zero percent minimum. Concrete is specified as Caltrans minor concrete.
