Condensate drain piping arrangement for an air conditioning unit, starting from the drain pan to the sloped drain pipe. The condensate line features a trap fitting sized to the full unit connection, incorporating an X inch minimum fall and a Y inch minimum trap seal. An open tee is provided for venting directly above the trap. Unions are included in the piping run for maintenance access, and pipe straps with material compatible with the pipe are installed allowing for loose fit to accommodate thermal pipe expansion. A cleanout tee with a male pipe thread plug is specified at all changes in direction, and the entire drain pipe is sloped towards the drain at a minimum of 1/8 inch per foot over a 4 inch by 4 inch block, 12 inches long.
