A gusset plate connects diagonal braces to a horizontal chord or beam at a common work point. The connection utilizes typical one-quarter-inch connection plates welded along three sides with one-quarter-inch fillet welds. Bolted attachments secure the diagonal members to the gusset plate with specified edge and spacing clearances. A vertical member frames into the joint above, anchored with bolts and aligned with standard dimensional clearances.
