Two steel framing beams connect into the web of a supporting girder using bolted shear connector plates on either side. A double row of bolts is utilized where specified, and the bottom flange of the connecting beam is coped as required. Connector plates extend when dimension requirements exceed nine inches or when depth "D" exceeds twelve inches, maintaining standard "K" distances per the AISC manual.
