A 1x3 solid maple wood chair rail with a chamfered edge is mounted to a wall partition backed by three-quarter-inch fire-retardant treated plywood. Stainless steel square drive flush finishing fasteners are spaced at eighteen inches on center vertically through the chair rail and blocking. Continuous caulking seals the top joint between the wood molding and the wall finish.
