An acoustical ceiling tile abuts a dropped gypsum board ceiling assembly framed with eighteen-gauge four-inch metal studs spaced sixteen inches on center. The main ceiling runner attaches to the ledger with number ten sheet metal screws on each side. A four-inch stud brace at forty-five degrees maximum is fastened with three number ten sheet metal screws at four feet on center. Gypsum board is finished with a corner bead at the transition, and acoustical ceiling trim finishes the edge of the acoustical panels.
