An acoustic ceiling tile system terminates at a partition wall with an edge trim secured by a pop rivet at the fixed connection. The suspended ceiling main or cross runner is supported by hanger wires spaced at the lesser of eight inches or one-quarter of the length of the span. A minimum clearance is maintained at the free connection while the fixed edge trim establishes the wall junction. The partition wall assembly features framing and board as scheduled.
