This assembly consists of a one-and-a-half-inch diameter painted steel guardrail and a matching handrail mounted to a ramp. The handrail is positioned between thirty-four and thirty-eight inches above the walking surface and features twelve-inch minimum extensions at the ends, returning to the wall or walking surface if no wall is present. The guardrail maintains a minimum height of forty-two inches. A ramp edge protection rail is provided at the base, designed to prevent the passage of a four-inch sphere. Vertical rail spacing is equalized throughout the assembly.
