A ceiling joist frames into a metal stud wall, secured with a continuous track fastened using three number 8 screws at each stud. Steel track splices require a minimum 24-inch long piece of stud and six number 6 gauge screws on each flange of each side of the splice. Steel stud splices utilize a minimum 24-inch long piece of track fastened similarly across the joint. Finishes for the ceiling and wall are designated per the reflected ceiling plan, floor plan, and finish schedule.
