A precast concrete paver system is installed on a 1-inch sand setting bed over a 2-inch topping slab, secured with a 3/16-inch by 2-1/4-inch heavy-duty aluminum paver restraint attached to the concrete slab using masonry nails spaced at 12 inches on center maximum. Hand-tight swept joints maintain a 1/16-inch to 1/8-inch maximum spacing between the precast concrete pavers. The assembly bears on a 4-inch concrete base over a 6-inch processed aggregate base and compacted subgrade. One-inch weep holes are provided at low points spaced 4 feet on center, covered by 12-inch by 12-inch squares of filter fabric.
