An exterior stone tile wall corner incorporates an expansion joint with a 16-gauge painted galvanized steel metal closure having an exposed hemmed edge and mounting flange fastened with number 10 sheet metal screws at 12 inches on center behind the lath. The corner wraps two layers of 5/8-inch exterior fiberglass-faced Type X gypsum board over a water-resistive barrier lapped over an integrated cover membrane. A casing bead at mortar termination pairs with sealant and backer rod at the metal panel wall type junction. The framing utilizes 16-gauge bundled studs with weather-resistive barrier wrapped around shaft liner panels prior to tilting in place, sealed with sealant applied within the stud's H-slot to create a substrate for blind-side secondary waterproofing.
