The non-structural metal framing track at the partition head terminates perpendicular below a concrete-filled metal deck. Fire safing insulation and smoke seal fill the gap between the top of the track and the underside of the deck. Acoustic blanket insulation fills the interior of the wall cavity. Gypsum board layers finish both sides of the metal stud framing.
