The metal runner track is secured to the concrete floor slab using powder-driven fasteners spaced at twenty-four inches on center, with fasteners placed two inches from the ends of the track. The partition assembly includes acoustical insulation as specified by the partition type and an additional layer of gypsum board on each side to achieve a two-hour fire rating. Flexible firestop sealant is applied to the full depth of the gypsum board on both sides of the partition at the floor interface. The concrete floor slab is to be verified against the structural drawings.
