The roof membrane turns up the vertical concrete tilt-up wall over a continuous air barrier coating and 5/8-inch glass mat gypsum sheathing. A counterflashing is installed over the membrane termination and secured with a termination bar fastened at approximately 12 inches on center. Compatible sealant is applied behind the membrane at the top edge for weather tightness. The detail maintains a minimum 8-inch vertical rise for the roof membrane and a 4-inch minimum overlap for the counterflashing.
