An electrical junction box is recessed within a steel stud partition framed at twenty-four inches on center with variable partition types sized per plans. A sound attenuation blanket fills the wall cavity between studs to maintain acoustic performance. An outlet box pad and continuous sealant bead are applied around the perimeter of the box where it penetrates the gypsum wallboard layers. A finish cover plate completes the junction box assembly at the wall surface.
