This two-hour fire-rated shaftwall assembly, designated as UL U415 System B, is constructed with four-inch twenty-gauge minimum C-H metal studs spaced at twenty-four inches on center. The assembly is faced on one side with a one-inch gypsum board liner panel and on the opposite side with one layer of five-eighths-inch gypsum board. Additionally, a one-half-inch number sixteen expanded metal mesh is attached over the one-inch gypsum board liner side.
