This assembly consists of a gypsum board shaft wall assembly paired with multi-layer gypsum board partitions on metal framing. An acoustic blanket insulation is installed within the stud cavity where required. A minimum one-quarter inch joint sealant bead is applied at the base intersection. The configuration complies with Underwriters Laboratories UL Design U497 and UL Design U438.
