A typical cold-formed steel stud wall terminates below a metal deck and connects via a slip track and continuous metal plate. The continuous plate spans two ribs of the metal deck and is secured with screws on each side of the stud. Screws fasten the typical slip track to the metal plate at each stud location. The metal deck above is provided by others.
