A 3-inch shaft partition assembly is framed with C-H steel studs and faced on one side with five-eighths-inch gypsum board and on the other with one-inch gypsum shaftliner panels. The partition carries a fire rating under UL assembly number U415 with a limiting height of 16 feet 1 inch and an STC rating to be determined. Head and base connection details are referenced to sheet A8.01.
