A hollow structural section column bears on a nine-inch by five-inch by one-half-inch steel embed plate anchored into a concrete wall with two three-quarter-inch diameter anchor bolts welded full penetration to the embed plate. The column is secured with a three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld around its perimeter to the embed plate. The anchor bolts are embedded eight inches into the concrete wall with hooked ends and spaced six inches on center. The hollow structural section tube may be shifted one inch where needed at the end of panels.
