An aluminum storefront system head frames insulated glass below a structural concrete wall. Shims are placed as required between the concrete opening and the storefront frame. A three-quarter inch chamfer is detailed on the interior edge of the concrete opening. The joint between the concrete wall and the storefront head is sealed with a backer rod and sealant.
