This assembly details a cement plaster wall base transitioning to a concrete curb on a sloped deck. The wall consists of metal studs with five-eighths inch Dens-Glass Gold gypsum sheathing and continuous rigid insulation. The exterior finish includes a seven-eighths inch stucco lath with scratch and brown coats over a water-resistant barrier consisting of two layers of Grade D paper. A horizontal control joint is provided at the substrate change. The base of the stucco terminates at a foundation weep screed, which is integrated with self-adhering flashing lapped over the drip edge and the concrete curb. The curb features a traffic coating system that extends up the vertical face with a four-inch minimum upturn, maintaining a two-inch minimum clearance from the deck surface.
