A seismic expansion joint is integrated into an exterior masonry veneer wall assembly. A bellows-type seismic joint is set in sealant per manufacturer specifications and anchored into the framing. A primary weather-resistive barrier and self-adhered membrane run continuously behind the backup construction and around the corner. Brake metal and multiple sealant beads provide weatherproofing at the transition. Metal stud framing and insulation line the interior side of the exterior wall assembly.
