Suspended ceiling hanger wire wraps around the structural framing member using a saddle tie with a double loop at the support point. The 9 gauge hanger wire requires three tight turns within three inches. Multiple saddle ties alternate back and forth to prevent twisting of the supported member. A saddle tie is required for any width greater than one-quarter inch.
